
Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the gained 0.62%.
The best performers of the session on the were Cemex SAB de CV (MX:), which rose 7.39% or 0.650 points to trade at 9.440 at the close. Meanwhile, Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB De CV (MX:) added 5.71% or 4.920 points to end at 91.020 and Grupo Financiero Banorte (MX:) was up 5.62% or 4.860 points to 91.380 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wal – Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:), which fell 5.53% or 2.470 points to trade at 42.230 at the close. Telesites SAB de CV (MX:) declined 2.40% or 0.250 points to end at 10.160 and Industrias CH, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:) was down 1.71% or 0.960 points to 55.030.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 68 to 64 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Telesites SAB de CV (MX:) fell to all time lows; down 2.40% or 0.250 to 10.160.
Gold for April delivery was up 0.23% or 2.80 to $1211.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 4.98% or 1.45 to hit $30.48 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 6.31% or 2.03 to trade at $34.21 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 2.86% to 18.3462, while EUR/MXN fell 2.88% to 20.4413.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 96.78.
