Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Athens, the fell 7.87% to hit a new all time low.

The best performers of the session on the were Euro Reliance (AT:), which rose 6.35% or 0.08 points to trade at 1.34 at the close. Meanwhile, Centric Hold (AT:) added 1.15% or 0.001 points to end at 0.088 and Halcor (AT:) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to 0.235 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:), which fell 29.20% or 0.160 points to trade at 0.388 at the close. National Bank of Greece (AT:) declined 27.50% or 0.06 points to end at 0.14 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:) was down 27.21% or 0.037 points to 0.099.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 93 to 5 and 11 ended unchanged.

Shares in Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:) fell to 5-year lows; down 29.20% or 0.160 to 0.388. Shares in National Bank of Greece (AT:) fell to all time lows; down 27.50% or 0.06 to 0.14. Shares in Halcor (AT:) unchanged to all time lows; unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 to 0.235. Shares in Piraeus Bank SA (AT:) fell to all time lows; down 27.21% or 0.037 to 0.099.

Gold for April delivery was up 3.46% or 40.00 to $1197.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 2.35% or 0.72 to hit $30.16 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 1.61% or 0.55 to trade at $33.51 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.31% to 1.1190, while EUR/GBP rose 0.87% to 0.7757.

The US Dollar Index was down 0.27% at 96.71.
