The best performers of the session on the were Aljazira Takaful Taawuni Company (SE:), which rose 9.86% or 2.45 points to trade at 27.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Industrial Export Co (SE:) added 6.96% or 2.50 points to end at 38.40 and Arriyadh Development Co. (SE:) was up 4.78% or 0.80 points to 17.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bupa Arabia for Coop. Insurance (SE:), which fell 4.24% or 4.75 points to trade at 107.25 at the close. Saudi Airlines Catering Company (SE:) declined 3.46% or 3.25 points to end at 90.75 and Emaar The Economic City (SE:) was down 3.35% or 0.45 points to 13.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 96 to 49 and 22 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.66% or 0.47 to $28.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.86% or 0.56 to hit $30.89 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 1.20% or 14.40 to trade at $1184.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.30% to 4.2227, while USD/SAR fell 0.01% to 3.7506.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 96.14.
