
Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Enea SA (WA:), which rose 3.80% or 0.41 points to trade at 11.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Powszechny Zaklad Ubezpieczen SA (WA:) added 1.90% or 0.60 points to end at 32.23 and Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:) was up 1.85% or 0.40 points to 22.07 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ING Bank Śląski SA (WA:), which fell 5.34% or 5.95 points to trade at 105.55 at the close. Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:) declined 2.73% or 0.14 points to end at 4.98 and Lubelski Wegiel Bogdanka SA (WA:) was down 2.36% or 0.82 points to 33.97.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 256 to 242 and 173 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.21% or 0.06 to $28.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.97% or 0.90 to hit $31.22 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.43% or 5.10 to trade at $1193.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.58% to 4.4161, while USD/PLN rose 0.01% to 3.9332.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.31% at 96.34.
