
Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the rose 0.37% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the were Austral Group SAA (LM:), which rose 4.65% or 0.060 points to trade at 1.350 at the close. Meanwhile, Intergroup (LM:) added 3.26% or 0.710 points to end at 22.510 and Aceros Arequip (LM:) was up 3.08% or 0.010 points to 0.335 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Panoro (LM:), which fell 1.22% or 0.001 points to trade at 0.081 at the close. Buenaventura (LM:) declined 0.37% or 0.020 points to end at 5.340 and Backus Johnsto (LM:) was down 0.17% or 0.020 points to 11.680.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 12 to 6 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Austral Group SAA (LM:) rose to 3-years lows; rising 4.65% or 0.060 to 1.350.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.12% or 0.33 to $29.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.87% or 0.62 to hit $33.98 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 2.40% or 29.80 to trade at $1209.60 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.01% to 3.5053, while EUR/PEN fell 1.00% to 3.9243.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.79% at 96.75.
