
Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the declined 0.21% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the were OPKO Health Inc (TA:), which rose 3.28% or 100 points to trade at 3150 at the close. Meanwhile, Strauss Group (TA:) added 1.58% or 86 points to end at 5523 and Paz Oil (TA:) was up 1.47% or 880 points to 60900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gazit Globe (TA:), which fell 1.83% or 55 points to trade at 2955 at the close. Bezeq (TA:) declined 1.57% or 13.0 points to end at 814.1 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:) was down 1.51% or 25 points to 1630.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 239 to 83 and 131 ended unchanged.
Shares in Gazit Globe (TA:) fell to 5-year lows; losing 1.83% or 55 to 2955.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.35% or 0.10 to $29.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 2.04% or 0.67 to hit $32.21 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.18% or 2.20 to trade at $1195.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.76% to 3.8636, while EUR/ILS rose 0.27% to 4.3701.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.95% at 95.84.
