The worst performers of the session were MVideo (MCX:), which fell 3.80% or 9.50 points to trade at 240.30 at the close. Akron (MCX:) declined 1.83% or 65.0 points to end at 3490.0 and Yandex NV (MCX:) was down 1.79% or 18.00 points to 989.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 120 to 70 and 19 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of MICEX options, was down 1.33% to 46.760.
Gold for April delivery was down 0.90% or 11.20 to $1236.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 11.12% or 2.92 to hit $29.12 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 9.03% or 2.71 to trade at $32.77 a barrel.
USD/RUB was down 1.44% to 78.4464, while EUR/RUB fell 3.40% to 88.144.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.44% at 96.05.
